LIBERIA: In Greenville, Sinoe County NEC Local Office Sets Ablaze By Unknown Persons

A local office of the National Elections Commission (NEC) in Greenville has reportedly guttered fire, setting ablaze the office of the Assistant Magistrate NEC leaving several important documents related to the midterm December 8th, 2020 to burn to ashes.

The incident which place on Greenville, Sinoe County early Tuesday morning pondered local authorities including member of the opposition community, speaking to the GNN, Mr. Nelson Shennoh Assistant Magistrate of NEC, said it was a surprise to him and other workers.

Mr. Shennoh noted that the fire incident caused what he called lots of damages, including financial documents, and the contract sheets that were signed in recent time by polling staffers.

According to him, two (2) securities officers were posted on guard during the night of the incident, he intimated that Liberia National police investigation into the matter is ongoing to make sure that the unknown perpetrator (s) be brought to justice.
