LIBERIA: Dr. Elizabeth Davis-Russell College of Education ends University Orientation for Female 12th Graders in Harper

The Dr. Elizabeth Davis-Russell College of Education at William V.S. Tubman University has ended a daylong orientation entitled ” University Orientation for Female Students in Harper, under the theme: ” Female Teachers as Vital Instruments in Building Liberia of Our Dream.

The program brought together ninety-five female 12th graders from at least six High Schools in Harper City, Maryland County.

Dr. Elizabeth Davis-Russell College of Education Acting Dean Dr. Jerry C. Bu-ao welcomed the students to the orientation and admonished them to remain focus and strive to enter into the University to become meaningful citizens and contribute to the society positively.

On his part, Dr. Emmanuel L. S. Wreh, Dean, Dr. EDR CE spoke on the vision of the program and highlighted on the importance of university education. He informed the students that TU has a scholarship program at DR. EDR CE for at least hundred females’ students who are desirous to become future teachers.

The program was graced by faculties of DR. EDR CE, as well as the Assistant Vice President for Academic Affairs, TU T. Dan Jah-Bestman. Also present was Mr. Alexander Toby, the Administrative Assistant to the Vice President for Administration, TU Dr. S. Benson Barh.

Meanwhile, at least six faculties at DR. EDR CE made presentations in specialized areas, those were  Mr. George Wlateh, EC/ Primary Education, Ms. Mercy Oke, Guidance and Counseling, Mr. Peter C. Dossen, Biology Secondary Education, Mr. Uchechukwu S. Onwudi, Chemistry Secondary Education, Mr. Olaoulwa Folami, History and Dr. Emmanuel L. S Wreh, Mathematics
