The Cavalla Rubber Corporation which is currently operating in south-eastern Liberia, specifically in Pleebo sodoken district, Maryland County hospital is said to be out of medical doctors backed with insufficient staffs.
This disclosure was made by the President of the company’s workers union, Paul Dweh in an exclusive interview with the GNN in the County.
Mr. Dweh speaking further, appealed to the management of the Company to see reasons in recruiting qualified doctors, and add more employees to the hospital in order to adequately address the medical plight of hundreds of its employees.
“I am calling on the management of the CRC to bring in a resident Doctor at the hospital who will monitor the activities of the hospital on a daily basis and avoid using a visiting doctor,” M. Paul Dweh told the GNN.
The Union President told reporters that the hospital is not making an impact to catering to the health needs of the people of the company and surroundings as was previously done in the past, noting, “Most patients are now been referred from this to the J .J Dossen hospital in Harper City, Maryland County and Tapata hospital in Nimba County.
Mr. Dweh elaborating that less staffers at the Cavalla Rubber Cooperation (CRC) hospital is a serious Challenge facing with by the current staffers at the hospital to attend to patients especially during the night time. “Let the management empower many health workers to ease the work of those currently staffers there at the hospital.
He narrated that the intervention of Maryland County Lawmakers and the National Government is highly appreciated to improve the working system of the Cavalla Rubber Cooperation (CRC) in Pleebo sodoken, district #2 Maryland County.
