(LINA) – Criminal Court A” has finally indicted Montserrado County District #10 lawmaker, Yekeh Kolubah, and four others in connection with the alleged flogging and torturing of a resident of the district identified as Emmanuel Freeman.
From Police investigation it was established that Representative Kolubah ordered the flogging and torturing of Freeman by his personal body guards.
Those indicted alongside Kolubah are Oliver Konneh, Abu K. Mohammed, Johnson Kpor and Mohammed A. Kaba.
The court had earlier issued a writ of arrest for Kolubah, while the co-defendants were in police custody, but the Speaker of the House of Representatives intervened, assuring that Kolubah will submit to the due process of law.
The Grand Jurors on June 18 indicted the five men on charges of aggravated assault, criminal attempt to commit murder, kidnapping, criminal facilitation, and criminal solicitation.
Defendants Konneh, Mohammed, Kpor, and Kaba were on Tuesday arraigned before Criminal Court “A” upon order of Presiding Judge Roosevelt Z. Willie where the indictment was served them.
But Rep. Kolubah is yet to be served his indictment and Judge Willie has written the Speaker of the House of Representatives to have Kolubah appear before the Court on Wednesday, June 19, to receive his indictment.
