LIBERIA: Citizens Petition Harper City Mayor, Blessings Howe Tweh To Contest In 2023 Legislative Election

Hundreds of citizens in Harper district, Maryland County, particularly from Middle town, Rock town, Fish town, Cavalla,  Big town,  Harper City among others  converged at the Harper City hall last Saturday, December 4, 2021, and petitioned Harper City Mayor Ellen Blessing Howe  Tweh to contest as Representative for the Harper district.

Read the petition amongst hundreds of citizens in their joyous mood, Mr. Michael Blade noted, “Honorable Major of this great City of Harper, it is my greatest happiness to present to you this petition statement on behalf of the concerned citizens of Harper district. We want you to contest for the position of a representative. We want to encourage you to not be afraid because we are with you into this process”, Nr, Blade said.

The citizens in their numbers, outlined several reasons why they have petitioned the Harper City Major to participate in the upcoming elections.

“We have wholeheartedly agreed to petition you because of your positive contributions in the City of Harper, your leadership style, and for a proper female representation in the House of Representative, most of all you are our own daughter”.

For her part, Mayor Ellen Blessing Howe Tweh lauded the effort of the citizens and love shown towards her by the people of Harper district.

” My people I’m so surprised and overwhelmed for the large number of you here in Harper district to petition me to contest in the election of 2023, because you trust me and you need me to represent you; with Joy and happiness deeply in my heart, I promise to response to your petition shortly.
