A prominent Lebanese publisher and strong critic of the Shiite militant group Hezbollah has been found dead in his car.
Lokman Slim, a veteran Shiite political activist and researcher, was found in Addoussieh village in the southern province of Nabatiyeh, after he had been missing for several hours, a security official said.
He was shot in the head with two bullets.
His wife, Monika Borgmann, and his sister had earlier posted on social media that Mr Lokman had not been answering his phone for hours and he had not been seen since Wednesday evening.
