In a complain filed to the Justice Minister dated on November 18, 2023, a copy which is in the possession of the GNN-Liberia, and signed by Harriet W. Harris, daughter of the victim alleged that on the 14 of November, 2023, the day of the general and presidential elections, Montserrado County District number 8 Representative, Moses Acarus Gray alongside men wearing face masks with deadly weapons attacked their residence in search of supporters and sympathizers of the Unity Party.
Harriet alleged that while in the process of searching for supporters of UP, her mother who was ill was attacked by Rep. Gray and his masks men after bursting into her front door, she alleged that her mother was badly hit on her legs with 4inch blocks by Rep, Gray and his tugs, a situation she said led to the untimely death of mothers.
She further disclosed in her letter to the Justice Minister, that as result of the hit on her mother’s legs who was seriously ill, the condition of her mother’s health got worst from the 14 of November until the 17 when she taking to the SOS Hospital where she was pronounced dead upon arrival.
“We as a family crave your indulgence to kindly constitute an investigation into our concerns regarding our mother’s injury and untimely death”, the complainant letter to the Justice Minister noted.
Efforts applied by the GNN to contact the Montserrado County District 8 lawmaker via mobile phone, and visiting his Capitol Building office over the last few days proved unsuccessful.
