IPAL Elects New Officers, As President-Elect Alfred Togbah Calls For Professionalism

Members of the Independent Publishers Association of Liberia (IPAL) on Friday, 04 October 2019 went to the poll to elect their new team of officials to run the affairs of the association for a period of three years.

The election which was conducted by the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of an online news outlet, www.gnnliberia.com, Joel Cholo Brooks assisted by two Publishers; Mambu Golafale and Charles Yates of  the Cape Mount Mirror and the Integrity Watch newspapers brought together sixteen newspapers’ publishers.

Those elected at today’s poll include: Alfred G. Togbah of the People Newspaper; President, Moses Togba; of the Watch Dog newspaper; Vice President, Ahmed Sherif of the Standard Times newspaper; Secretary General and Mrs. Lulu Yei Rogers of the Microscope newspaper as Financial Secretary.

Speaking to reporters after his election as President of IPAL, Mr. Alfred Togbah expressed thanks and appreciation to his colleagues for the confidence reposed him to be elected as their president, and also used the occasion to urge his colleagues to be more objective and professional in providing services to the reading public.

The IPAL new President speaking further assured his media colleagues that his administration with the support of those officers elected alone with him will made the difference, and also bragged that his leadership will bring about a renewed collaboration amongst his media colleagues.
