Int’l Medical Group To Perform Free Surgery On Children In Firestone
Children’s Surgery International – USA in partnership with Firestone Liberia is to shortly conduct free surgery services on several children at the Duside Hospital in Harbel, Margibi County.
According to a press release issued recently, screening for the exercise which started in October this year is expected to close on December 27 at the Firestone Medical Center.
The program, which is part of Children’s International annual medical mission to Liberia, will focus on facial deformities and other conditions, including Hypospadias.
The surgery will specifically focus on hernias, cut lip, hole in the mouth, bumps on the face or head.
CSI is a Minnesota-based, non-profit volunteer organization that provides free medical and surgical services to children in need around the world.
Its care is safe, compassionate and culturally sensitive and benefits children who may have severely limited access to paediatric medical and surgical services.
CSI fosters self-sufficiency through curriculum-based, hands-on training and education and works with local surgical teams, doctors and nurses to build a sustainable foundation of essential surgical and medical skills which ensures that children receive high-quality surgical care in their communities during its missions.
