In Maryland County: Wife Charged For Murder In Husband’s Death

Police in Maryland County have charged Mrs. Catherine Seshie, wife of the late John Yao Seshie who was found dead in a pool of blood in a bathtub on 27 July 2020 in Harper.
John Yao Seshie was an employee of Williams V.S Tubman University as Chief Mechanic, according a police charge sheet, Mrs. Seshie was charged on the following counts; tempering with criminals investigation including physical evidence and Murder.
According to our Correspondent, the Commander of police in Harper, Jacob Kumah, said on Monday, August 10, 2020, Mrs. Seshie has been remanded at the Harper Central Prison at awaiting court trial.
The death of the John Yao Sesehie has caused serious controversy and fear amongst residents of the County.
However, some relatives of the accused are said to be expressing dismay over the handling of the case in Harper City, accusing the police of not taken some reports from the jury into consideration.
Mr. Edward Stem who said he served as one of the 15-man juries, complained after the discovery of the remains of Seshie in the bathtub, noting, “We did not noticed any foulplay or noticed anything that the victim was strangled to death in the bathtub,” Mr. Stern speaking to reporters alarmed.
For his part, the brother of the accused only identified as E. K Seton also lamented that there was misunderstanding between the late Seshie and his wife, but was settled by the In-Laws of the diseased prior to his death.
