Maryland County Registered Second Case Of COVID-19 Confirmed, Victim Dies

The County Health Officer (CHO) of Maryland County, Dr. Methodius George has disclosed the second cases of the deadly COVID-19 in the County.

Speaking in an interview aired on a local radio station in Harper City, D. George said a Seventy years old woman who came from Grand Kru County on June 12 and reported to the Pleebo health center in was confirmed with the virus.

He further explained  that when the situation became critical which the health center in Pleebo could not handle the medical problem of the woman she was transferred to James Jenkins Dossen referral hospital in Harper City where she was isolated and her Specimen was taken to Monrovia.

Dr. George also disclosed the lady was unfortunately died on June 22, whose name is withheld, adding, “I am asking all residents and citizens of Maryland County to continue the preventive measures of Coronavirus to keep the county safe because no one knows who have gone in contact with this lady.

Dr. George used the occasion to call on the general public to be vigilant in observing  the basic rules of Coronavirus pandemic include, Social distancing, the wearing of Masks and hand washing.
