In Maryland County, Parents Seek Medical Help For 5-Year-Old Child

Parents of a five years old child identified as Sarofina Walker are appealing for assistance to rescue their child who has been ill for protracted period of time as a result of fire burnt.

The mother of the victom, Theresa Walker who all are residents of Larma Scott Community, Harper City, Maryland County said her daughter Sarofina Walker got burnt in a Village called old Sodoken in Pleebo district, Maryland County since 2018 when she was three years old.

Explaining the nightmare of her child to a team of reporters including the GNN Liberia, Madam Walker sorrowfully said the accident occurred while She was on the Farm searching for food, and further lamented that little Sarofina despite medical treatment being provided by health workers in the County, her condition continues to be worsening.

“My people I am tired suffering, I have used all my resources because of this child condition, see her condition two years now no support from the Father. Theresa Walker explained.” Theresa Walker speaking to reporters tearfully said

Meanwhile, Madam Walker is appealing humanitarian organizations to come to the aid of her daughter, adding, “I don’t have money again to carry my daughter to the hospital, I am from a very poor family so I am making this appeal to seek medical help for my child who is dying slowly,” Madam Walker told reporters.

She however expressed thanks and appreciation to the management team of the J. J. Donsen Medical hospital, and partner in health in the County for their efforts in keeping her daughter alive.
