‘I Will Work With You For A Better Liberia’ – Ellen Reportedly Whispers In President Boakai’s Ear
Yesterday, January 22, 2024 was a scene of jubilations during the inauguration of Liberia’s 26th President, H. E. Joseph Nyuma Boakai on Capitol Hill when hundreds of Liberians and foreign dignitaries from the United States, and some African countries came to grace the colorfully occasion.
The former Liberian President, Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf along with other prominent Liberians from Liberia and those from the diaspora also formed part of this historical event, as the former President Sirleaf was seen apparently speaking to her former Vice President in a whispering form.
Prior to the 2017 general and presidential elections which brought the CDC-led government of George Manneh Weah to power, it was reported that the former President, Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf was very instrumental for the election of President Weah’s CDC to power creating what could be described as ‘Bad Blood’ between Ellen and her former Vice President, even though such information has not been independently confirmed.
At Monday’s event, both were seen in a friendly mood, as onlookers pondered over the ‘4G’ reconciliation talks between the former President and her former Vice President.
