Foreign Minister, Kemayah Prioritizes President Weah’s Paris Trip, Abandons Visiting Dignitaries  

Liberia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Dean of the Cabinet Dee-Maxwell Saah Kemayah, Sr. yesterday, January 22, 2024 abandoned dozens of high-profile foreign visitors who arrived in the country to grace the inauguration of Liberia’s 26th President, H.E. Joseph Nyuma Boakai were reportedly abandoned by the Minister to escort the former President George Weah who left the country for Paris.

The action of the Foreign Minister has been publicly condemned by Liberians who   called on a local radio to express their reservation and frustration on the action taken by the Minister by disregarding protocol to abandon visiting guests including some world leaders who were invited to witness this historical event.

President Weah left the country immediately after the Inauguration of President Joseph Nyuma Boakai as the 26th President of Liberia.
