‘I am Not Here For Job, I am Here To See My People’ – Princess Fatu Gayflor Rubbishes Media Report
Princess Fatu Gayflor, the golden voice of Liberia who resides in the United States and is visiting her home country, Liberia has publicly rubbished media reports that she is in the country to solicit for job from the Boakai/Koung-led Government, but clarified that she is in country to see her family back home.
The famous Liberia songstress Princess Fatu Gayflor spoke to journalists during a courtesy call on the Minister of Information, Cultural Affairs and Tourism, Mr. Jerolinmek Piah along with her entourage, she used the occasion to dispel misleading information in the Liberian media community that she is here to seek for job opportunity from the government.
Since her arrival in Liberia a week ago, it has been rumored that the traditional musical icon was in the country to seek for job, either as Cultural Ambassador to replace the current Cultural Ambassador, Juli Endee who has been in such position for decades,
Earlier, Kerkula Kamara, popularly known as ‘Malawala Balawa’ told journalists that the purpose of Princess Fatu Gayflor’s visit at the Ministry where she previously worked is to respectfully inform the Minister that she is back in Liberia, and pleased to visit her previous place of work.
In his response to welcome Princess Fatu Gayflor and her team to the ministry, Minister Piah, said he is delighted for the visit, and further noted that the Princess as a Liberian she is entitled to seek for employment anywhere in this government, and further criticized who are frightened of her presence back home.
