The fault is expected to be fixed between 6pm and 7pm this evening (August 10).
Problems have been occurring throughout the day after windy conditions caused a number of issues across the region.
Trees have been falling down, tourist attractions have been closing, and trains have been delayed as a consequence.
A UK Power Networks spokesperson said: “There is currently a power cut in the Cambridge area, which was reported at 4.33pm.
“Our engineers are working hard to fix it as quickly as possible. The power is estimated to be restored between 6pm and 7pm.”
