HOPE Founder Calls On Boakai/Koung-Led Administration To Investigate Mysterious Deaths

The founder of Restoring HOPE Foundation Liberia, Amb. Maxson  Kpakio, is calling on the Rescue Mission Government under the leadership of President Joseph Boakai to revisit the case of  ‘More Than Me’ organization and all mysterious deaths cases that occurred in recent years.

Speaking via a telephone interview from the United Kingdom, Ambassador Kpakio who was once the Executive Director of Justice Forum Liberia and who has also been advocating for social justice and peace reminded the Rescue Mission Government of miscarriage of justice during the trial of the founder of More Than Me, Miss Katie Meyler.

He said the re-visitation of the More Than Me’s case will lead the government to get to the bottom of the matter in the quest of seeking justice for the victims.

He then urged the Boakai-led Government to take such a step in order to set good precedents and to avoid similar incidents taking place in Liberia.

Meanwhile, Amb. Kpakio has frowned on individuals who had the power and were in positions to have ensured that justice is served, but failed to do so for their alleged personal interests.

He at the same time appealed to President Boakai to constitute a special presidential task force that will be able to critically review mysterious death cases including the late auditors, the three missing men, Odell Sherman, and the EPS agent, Melvin Earley and other cases.
