Dozens of customers of the Guaranty Trust Bank (Liberia) popularly known as GT Bank Liberia are said to be expressing frustration over new regulation reportedly issued by the bank that all customers of the bank are requested to use the Automated teller machine or ATM Cards to withdraw,
According to our reporter, some customers who went over to the bank for withdrawal purposes were turned down by tellers of the bank requesting those who had reportedly gone to the bank to withdraw to only use ATM Cards if they are to withdraw from the bank.
Some of the customers who spoke to our reporter yesterday, November 15, 2021, in a rather disappointing state, said tellers at the various windows were harshly speaking to customers use to use their ATM Cards instead of standing before them.
“I am very disappointed on the new regulation of the bank, demanding that we should only withdraw by using our ATM Cards, many of us do not have ATM Card. This bank employees were always in our offices asking us to open account with them, now they are saying we must have ATM card before we can have access to our,” one of the frustrated customers of the bank speaking to the GNN yesterday said.
Another frustrated customer only identified as Ma Sara, believed to be in her late 60s, explaining her ordeal at the bank said, “Soon this morning I woke up to come for my treatment to the hospital, now no money, I don’t even have transportation to take me be back home,” Ma Sara who appeared homeless told the GNN.
When a staff who did not disclose his name of the bank from the Corporate Department was called, he denied such insinuation on the part of the report quoting customers of the bank.
