The Officer In Charge (OIC) assigned at the Tiawon Clinic in Glan Town, lower Nimba County Mr. L. Paul Barpaye has alarmed over the lack of drugs at his clinic to cater to the health needs of the residents of the area is hampering the smooth operation of providing health services.
Mr. Barpaye also complained of the lack of good roads in the area, and further appealed to the central government, specifically Representative Jeremiah Koung of District # 1 to rapidly come to the aide of the people in that part of the country to provide essential medical drugs for the health needs of the people.
In an exclusive interview with the GNN during the week, Mr. Barpaye said Glantown Clinic is accessible to about eleven thousands people with over 68 communities who are in dare need of improved medical services, but due to the bad road condition, things are very difficult for the residents in the area.
The Glantown community is one of the remotest communities in the County; it shares border with River Cess County and has the population of over fifty three thousand inhabitants.
