Flogging Of Deputy Police Chief, Two Ruling Party Officials Indicted; Rep Acarous Gray And Chairman Mulbah Morlue

The Inspector General of the Liberia National Police, Col. Patrick Sudue has disclosed to Plenary of the Liberian Senate yesterday that two executives of the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC), District # 8 Representative, Moses Acarous Gray and the Chairman of the ruling party, Mulbah Morlue have been indicted for the flogging of Deputy Police boss, Marvin Sarko on July 31, 2019 at the headquarters of the LP who had gone on the scene to put to election violence that was taken place.
Inspector Sudue was summoned by the Senate as part of the Joint Security who had gone there to explain to the Plenary of the Liberian Senate of recent election violence that has been taken place in Monrovia and its environs in recent time, especially the incident which took place in District 15.
Col. Sudue told the Plenary that despite of several communications to these executives of the CDC to explain their alleged involvement in the July 31, 2019 electoral violence, only the Chairman Morlue dropped a statement at the police headquarter containing his explanation relative to the allegation of his involvement while Representative Gray is yet to address to the police call.’
This disclosure made by the Police boss regarding the alleged refusal of Representative Gray to answer to the police call baffled many Liberians who said ‘What goes around comes around’ making reference of the same Representative Gray who opted for the appearance of one of his colleagues, Representative Yekeh Kolubah Montserrado County District # 10 to be appear before the police when he was accused of ordering the flogging of a man in the district.
