Executive Mansion Dismisses Fake News: ‘Suspension Of Minister Of State’

Mr. Nathaniel McGill, Minister of State for Presidential Affairs

The attention of the Executive Mansion has been drawn to information circulating on social media relating to the “suspension” of the Minister of State for Presidential Affairs and Chief of Staff to the President, Hon. Nathaniel Farlo McGill by the President due to “unethical behavior.”

The Office of the Press Secretary wishes to clarify emphatically that there is absolutely no iota of truth to this rumor.

Accordingly, the Minister still enjoys the absolute confidence and trust of the President and at no time has he ever been summoned or chastised for any unethical practice.

We consider this as “fake news” and a distraction aimed at taking our attention off the implementation of the government’s Pro-poor Agenda.

Meanwhile, the President’s confidence in the Minister remains unwavering and unbending and that is why Minister McGill is being tasked with the responsibility of chairing the Cabinet while the President honors a special invitation extended him to attend the Franco-Africa Summit taking place in Congo, Brazzaville.

Signed:

Sam Mannah

Presidential Press Secretary
