Dozens Of U.S. Based Liberians In High Gear To Come Home For President-elect Boakai Inauguration
As the inauguration of Liberia’s next President, Ambassador Joseph Nyumah Boakai draws closer, dozens of U.S. based Liberians are said to be preparing to come to their birth land to join their fellow compatriots for the inauguration of Liberia’s 26th President.
According to a dispatch from the United States, Liberians in that country, many of whom who have not visited their motherland, Liberia for years are said to be making all their airlines bookings to arrive in their country in order to witness this historic occasion which expected to draw together foreign dignitaries from the United States and other powerful countries.
Partisans and supporters of the incoming ruling Unity Party based in several States including New York, New Jersey, Texas, California, Delaware, Rhode Island, Hawaii, Pennsylvania, Florida, and Louisiana are in high spirit to come to Liberia for this occasion.
Some of those who spoke to the GNN-Liberia via WhatsApp expressed joy and happiness in coming back home to their motherland to witness the inauguration of Ambassador Joseph Nyumah Boakai as Liberia’s next president noting that his administration will open doors for investment opportunities for all Liberians to benefit.
“My husband and my children are leaving for Liberia to witness the inauguration of our President-elect, Ambassador Joseph Nyumah Boakai and Vice President-elect Jeremiah Koung; we are going to Liberia after spending over 25 years in the United States; I am going to see my home and my families”, a female Liberians who preferred to be named told GNN-Liberia contact in New York.
Our contact who was at the John F Kennedy Airport saw several Liberians in queue waiting to board their respective airlines.
