Disabled Community In Nimba County Cries For Help In Production Of Soap Making

In order to making their livelihood useful for them and their dependents, the disabled community in Ganta, Nimba County is appealing to the government and other humanitarian organizations to rapidly come to their aid by supporting them in their skillful endeavors.

Speaking to the GNN in Ganta, the Manager of the Disabled Soap Making Provision Shop, Abagel Gonkanue , said they have been calling on the national government and other organizations for help, but to no avail, indicating that they are engage in the production of soap, tile soap, Clorox and the production of shampoo amongst other.

She further explain that their production is sold to the public especially those in the City of Ganta, and other nearby communities, narrating further she said .

In her expression Madam Abagel Gonkanue narrated that since the establishment of their business in March of this year, it is only AFRO Liberia that has supported them with grants and loan ,but said they are challenged with the lack of materials for production, indicating that because of that the business is going down.

She said their dream is to be able to produce on a large scale and make the physically challenge people of value in the community, and at the same time create job for those that are physically fait or able Madam Gonkanue said.

In her words she pointed out that their disability is not their inability.

She made these statements when the Chairman of the Friends of Jeremiah Koung movement Mr. Titus Kpayilee visited them and made a presentation of two bags of caustic powder in order to help them support their business.
