CDC Campaign Launch Draws Massive Turnout, But Unity Party Without Official Launch Is Pulling Numbers that Must Worry the Ruling Party

Monrovia, Liberia – In a flurry of excitement and jubilation, supporters of the ruling Coalition for Democratic Change (CDC) gathered in large numbers from across the country to attend the official campaign launch of President George Weah’s re-election bid. However, as the CDCians celebrated their impressive turnout, the growing popularity of the opposition Unity Party’s candidate, Joseph Boakai, in individual electoral districts within Montserrado has raised eyebrows and a worrying concerns within the ruling party.

The CDC’s campaign launch, held at a stadium in Monrovia, witnessed a sea of enthusiastic supporters, donning party colors and waving banners in a show of solidarity. The event featured passionate speeches by party leaders, highlighting the achievements of the Weah administration and outlining their vision for the future. The crowd cheered and chanted slogans, displaying their unwavering support for President Weah’s re-election bid.

Despite not having conducted their official campaign launch, Boakai’s supporters have been actively working at the grassroots level, making significant inroads in individual electoral districts in Montserrado.
