Some Liberian people are said to be noted of announcing the death of their fellow compatriots before the actual news of their death is announced, this is in the case of recent social media reports that Dr. Henrique Flomo Tokpa , current Senator of Bong County who is currently in the United States for medical checkup death news was in the social media.
But in reacting to his reported death news which was circulated on the social media early this week, Dr. Tokpa speaking with OK FM’s Clarence Jackson liv, rubbished the report, noting that he is well and kicking, and is currently in the United States on his regular medical routine.
Due to magnitude of this fake news of the death of the Bong County Senator, the Chief of Staff in the office of Senator Tokpa, Mr. Arthur Bestman clarified on his Face Book page said, ‘Categorically termed as ‘Fake’ media report that the Senator is dead. Contrary to such social media reports, Bestman noted that the Senator is still alive and doing very well”, he noted.
However, speaking this morning, March 14, 2022 via mobile phone with OK FM, the Senator himself said he is still alive, and the report of is death is false and misleading, and further condemned those who are announcing his early death, stressing, “I am in the United States for my regular medical checkup”, he noted.
