Bomi Supt. Congratulates President Weah, Asks God To Grant Him Wisdom Of Solomon
The Superintendent of Bomi County, Samuel Brown has congratulated Liberia’s 24th President, George Manneh Weah for his election, and further prayed that the Lord will grant him the Solomon’s type wisdom in steering the affairs of Liberia.
In his prepared statement read during the visit of the Liberian leader to the County to dedicate the judiciary complex, Superintendent Brown said, “We also want to congratulate you for introducing the Pro-poor Agenda which is meant to improve the lives of the ordinary Liberian People. We here in Bomi has already begun the implementation of the Pro-poor Agenda through agriculture over a land space of 9,000 acres by private farmers with palms, rubber, Coco, and other cash crops.”
He named some of those who are operating farms in the County as former President Ellen, former Speaker J. Alex Tyler, former Finance Minister, Amara Konneh, Senator Sando Dazoe Johnson, Representative Edwin Melvin Snowe, Representative, Mannah Bishop Johnson, Madam Ciatta Bishops, Superintendent Samuel F. Brown, and Commissioner James K. Tarpeh, to name a few.
He called on the Liberian leader permit the County authority to recommend tourism to from part of the implementation of the Pro-poor Agenda, and said when this is done, it will create job opportunities for the ordinary Liberians and will increase revenue generation at the national level.
Superintendent Brown told President Weah that Bomi County has more than 16 historical sites that could be used for tourism to include the setting of the Murder in the Cassava Patch, Bai T. Moore Grave, Long King Peter’s grave, King Njola’s grave, the famous Blue Lake, the Indian water, just to name a few.
Stressing, that the dedication of the gigantic judicial complex in the County is a success story where cases that were adjudicated at private homes except for the 11th Judicial Circuit Court which was being accommodated by the County Administration Building, it is now a great opportunity for the County to have such a court complex from its territorial status in 1968 to it county status in 1984.
“We say to you congratulations. We are very much grateful. We are also grateful to Hon. S. Gaya Karmon who went all out there to ensure that this complex is built here in Bomi. We believe this is the demonstration and manifestation of the government to improve the infrastructural of the Rule of Law. We want to assure you that we shall Mann this facility as we have always continue to Mann the 60 tangible projects that we have implemented from the County and social development funds. Many many thanks to you Sir,” Superintendent Brown told President Weah and guest including former President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf.
