Apple moves its Mac Pro production from the US to China
Apple is shifting manufacturing of its new Mac Pro computer from the United States to China, according to the Wall Street Journal. This move comes at a time when the Trump administration has boosted tariffs on $200 billion of Chinese imports to 25% and has threatened to impose new levies on an additional $300 billion in Chinese imports.
Another change for the company, Apple’s chief design officer, Jony Ive, is leaving after more than twenty years. Ive is considered one of the most important people at Apple, responsible for the industrial design and the look and feel of all major Apple products, including the iPhone and the Mac. Yahoo Finance’s Dan Roberts, Akiko Fujita, Kristin Myers and Dan Howley discuss on ‘YFi AM.’
