American Humanitarian Rescues Children Of Military Based Academic Institution, Provides Dozens Of Scholarships

The United States Goodwill Ambassador for Guinean Bissau, West Africa, Ms. Baroness Kimberly Moore and is currently visiting Liberia has provided dozens of scholarships to a Liberia’s military based daycare, elementary and junior high school, the Linda Thomas Greenfield Preparatory School aimed at coming to the rescue of hundreds of children who are seriously yearning for academic pursuit.

The school situated at the EBK Barrack on the Monrovia/Robertsfield highway has the enrollment of over 1,200 students who are children of soldiers of the Armed Forces of Liberia (AFL) and residents of other nearby communities.

Prior to the presentation of the scholarships, Ms. More accompanied by Mr. Ebenezer Norman, President & Founder of the New Dimension of Hope, an NGO operating in Liberia, disclosed that her main interest of focus is to provide assistance to the future leaders of Liberia, mainly school going kids.

Prior to her visit on the campus of the Linda Thomas Greenfield Preparatory School, named after United States former Ambassador to Liberia, Ms. Moore disclosed that during her ‘One on one’ discussion with the First Lady of Liberia, Mrs. Clar Weah, the issue of quality education for the children of Liberia, and the establishment of vocational training.

She said the school that is under construction in the village located in Memeh Town, Brewerville, Montserrado County will be the first of a series of self-sustainable schools, will be the test model to be executed throughout Africa with much support.
