Amb. Conteh & Liberians in Nigeria Rally Support For Kanvee’s AFRIMA Awards

Abuja, November 3, 2019: The Liberian Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Professor Al-Hassan Conteh is making a passionate appeal to all Liberians and non-Liberians both in and out of Nigeria to vote for Ambassador Kanvee Adams, Liberia’s debutante and sole representative in this year’s All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA).

A release from the Liberian Embassy in Abuja quotes Ambassador Conteh as saying that Liberia’s Nigeria-based musical icon’s nomination for the prestigious AFRIMA Award event is a pride for Liberia and Liberians regardless wherever they find themselves.

“Yes, she [Kanvee] now lives here in Nigeria but she is representing Liberia at this highly-respected event. That’s why when you look at the AFRIMA voting website, she’s carrying a Liberian flag there”, the Liberian Ambassador added.

The release also adds Liberians resident in Nigeria and parts adjacent who have since began voting for Kanvee over the past weeks are also appealing to their compatriots and others to vote for her.

The Liberian Gospel musical diva has been nominated in three different categories for this year’s AFRIMA’s 6^th edition holding in the West African entertainment capital of Lagos, Nigeria. The event takes place from the 20^th to the 23^rd of November, 2019, the release adds.

Kanvee’s three nominated categories are:

1. Best Female Artiste in Western Africa 2. Best Female Artiste (duo or group) in African inspirational music and 3.  Songwriter of the Year in Africa

Her representation is Liberia’s first ever appearance for Africa’s premiere musical awards event.

Step 2: Create an account, register and get verified through your email

Step 3: Proceed to vote for Kanvee in the following categories:

1. Best Female Artiste in Western Africa; 2. Best Female Artiste (duo or group) in African inspirational music and 3. Songwriter of the Year in Africa
   

The release asks voters to always click on the orange button after each vote to get more support for Kanvee. Voting ends few days to the November 20 event.

The AFRIMA is an annual awards event. The awards event was established by the International Committee AFRIMA, in collaboration with the African Union (AU) to reward and celebrate musical works, talents and creativity around the African continent while promoting the African cultural heritage. Its pioneer Awards show was held in 2014, the release adds.
