After Receiving Criticisms For Keeping Monrovia Filthy, Monrovia City Mayor Admits ‘Wrongdoing’

Following huge criticisms from Liberians and two foreign envoys both from the European Union and the United States of managing a ‘Dirty City’, the Mayor of the City of Monrovia, Jefferson Koijee has shamelessly accepted criticisms of the country’s capital being filthy, and called on citizens to join him in making Monrovia clean, green and save
According to the Mayor, the collection of solid waste management is a serious challenge that cannot be resolved by an individual while expressing the need for collective support from citizens in Monrovia.
He noted the City government remains highly focused on exploring solutions to efficient solid waste management, as well as implementable sustainability plan which abides by excellent environment principles and innovation.
Koijee furthered that the City Government strongly believes those criticisms will substantially help to address the challenges of waste management in the City.
