After Being Sanctioned, Is Nathaniel McGill’s Residence Once Busy Abandoned?
The residence of one Liberia’s powerful cabinet Ministers, Nathaniel F. McGill who prior to been sanctioned by the US Treasury Department was one of the busiest Liberian Government officials as dozens of Liberians and others troop in to see the Minister.
According to multiple sources, the residence of the now suspended Minister of State for Presidential Affairs and President Weah Chief Of Staff in the VOA Community has become a lonely place after being abandoned by those who always visited, as Mr. McGill is said to be spending most of his time in Gbarnga, Bong County.
Recently some Pastors in Bong County during a daylong prayer service assured the designated sanctions official of his return back to work, promising him that the sanctions imposed by the U.S. Treasury Department would be removed based on the wonder of God, as the Pastors predicted.
Despite the imposition of sanction and his subsequent suspension, the suspended Minister and Chief of Staff to President Weah, officers of the elite presidential security force, known as the Executive Protective Service are still performing their national duty by protecting the suspended Minister.
GNN reporter who visited the residence of Mr. McGill at the VOA Community in Paynseville, observed that the once busy residence of the Minister appeared deserted, as compared to previous period when it was overwhelmed with visitors including friends, relatives and government officials.
