Women’s Situation Room Investigates ‘Pre-Marked’ Ballots Discovered In Margibi County
Speaking to the head of the ECOWAS Observation Delegation in Monrovia during a tour of the Women’s Situation Room (WSR), the head of the group, Cllr. Yvette Chesson-Wureh disclosed that investigations are underway on the reported discovery of pre-marked ballots in Margibi County District #1,.
She told the ECOWAS delegation that National Police has been informed of such situation, noting that this discovery was made known by one of their observers in the county identified as William Saykay,
The report said a political party in this election name withheld will be made known to the following a thorough investigation by the Liberia National Police.
In a related development, a team of NEC workers carrying ballots boxes being saturated with water, this according to FLY contact in the county voting was suspended for hours awaiting sun to help dry saturated ballots. However, according to the report, voting has started later this afternoon.
