Joel Cholo Brooks |

Recent revelation by the outgoing Speaker of the 54th session of the National Legislature, Pleebo Sodoken District #2 Representative, Bhofal Chambers on a local radio station blaming his Deputy, Cllr. Jonathan Fonati Koffa who is set to becoming Speaker of the 55th  Session of the National Legislature of his massive defeat is indeed laughable by exaggerating or raising false alarm amid his exist from the legislature.

This writer was amused when the defeated lawmaker in his disparage disclosure against the Grand Kru County District #2 was echoed on several local radio stations displaying his benevolence of being the Mr. Good Guy under the canopy to drag Cllr. Koffa in his messy and fruitless administration.

Speaker Chambers in in his exaggerating public announcement against the Grand Kru County Lawmaker pondered many Liberians who have over the years witnessed his day-today ill-administrative activities in that august House instead of vilifying someone who has over the years made marks in the lives Liberians, and the country, Liberia at large.

Speaker Chambers in his vilifying utterance against JFK, recounted the professional contributions to various institutions in Liberia as a renowned and reliable legal practitioner who has always provided services to these institutions in the interest of Liberia and its people, making him a lawmaker without border.

Why Chambers at this time should cry wolf, after both of them, the Speaker and his Deputy sailed successfully during their respective sitting at the 54th Session of the National Legislature; his reported advocacy alleging that JFK did involve in what he described as conflict of interest by this learned Liberian legal expert, and call by many Liberians as a ‘Talk-And-Do’ lawmaker who has overly been appraised has built a legacy instead.

Even though amid these false allegations been levelled against JFK by Chambers and his likes should be considered as laughable, and has no truth in it, but rather gear towards derailing the successive gains been made by the learned Liberian lawmaker for the Speakership.

In his latest news report, Chambers accused Deputy Speaker Fonati Koffa of undermining his office, ‘Conflict of Interest’; But Deputy Speaker Koffa promises to respond on December 26

Speaker Chambers told a local radio that as evidence of the practice of conflict of interest, Deputy Speaker who serves in one of the branches of government is the lawyer for the CBL, LTA, Bea Mountain and Solway among others.

According him there are laws that speak against one individual working for two more branches of the government and that he advised the Deputy Speaker to desist but failed to do so.

The Speaker of the outgoing 54th legislature mentioned that at one point in time he had to complain Deputy Speaker Koffa to President Weah for allegedly undermining his office at the legislature.

Observers believed Chambers who is drowning in the pool of defeat filtered in by a little-known Anthony Williams through a popular vote by the people of District #2 Pleebo Sodoken, Maryland County seems to bother him psychologically by loosen such a lucrative high-profile position in government.

Let Chambers be warned that throwing stones while he sitting in a glass house will not save him in his negative propaganda against the incoming Speaker of the House; JFK is not his rival due to his defeat from that august House.

Concluding, this writer is overwhelmed to congratulate House Speaker, the Grammarian Bhofal Chambrers for his defeat, and further wish him all the best during his private life.
