LIBERIA: “Weah’s Gov’t Will Be Audited When Elected As President” – Gongloe Declares

Presidential aspirant Tiawon Gongloe vowed to conduct rigorous financial audit of George Weah’s led-government, if elected Liberia’s next president in 2023
Speaking with local journalists in Bong County via telephone from the U.S.A, on Tuesday, June June 14, 2022, Cllr. Gongloe noted that 50% of his cabinet members will be women, if elected President of Liberia.
He promised to prioritize declaration of assets as a means of reducing corruption among government officials.
According to him, funds from the treasury of the country are landing into pockets of some public officials; mostly, greedy manorities.
Cllr. Gongloe also threatened to dismiss and prosecute anyone found guilty of corrupt practices.
