VSDA, NBC Hold 2-Day Workshop To Enhance MSP Capacity In Sinje, Cape Mount County
Volunteers for Sustainable Development in Africa (VSDA) and the National Bureau of Concessions (NBC) begin a 2-day workshop to enhance MSP capacity with the requisite knowledge and strategies to mitigate land conflicts and safeguard their communities. The training is being held in Sinje, Grand Cape Mount County.
The workshop brings together a diverse range of stakeholders, including the Zodua Land Management Committee (ZLMC), Project Affected Communities (PCA), Mano Oil Palm Industry, Forestry Development Authority (FDA), Ministry of Agriculture, Conversation International, and civil society organisations.
Participants are being trained to understand the Land Rights Acts, cooperative governance and forest management, strategies and differences in advocacy and negotiation, safeguards and gender inclusion in operations in concession communities, and the Out Growers Scheme in Oil Palm Concession Operations.
This training is part of the project titled “P4F 0837-MULTI-STAKEHOLDERS SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT CONCESSION PLATFORM, LIBERIA,” sponsored by “Partnership for Forest.
