VOICES FROM THE STACKS: LIBERIAN NATIONAL ARCHIVES JOINS THE NATIONWIDE ANTI-DRUGS CAMPAIGN

On Thursday, August 7, 2025, several employees of the Center for National Documents and Records Agency (CNDRA) stepped into the streets to join the anti-drugs campaign in the heart of Monrovia City.

They and others were seen dressed in black t-shirts inscribed with the slogans “Say No to Drugs,” “Stop Drug Trafficking,” and many more in the peace walk.

The National Archives team chanted anti-drug slogans, distributed flyers, and engaged youngsters about the importance of battling drug abuse.

Secretary of the Communications Department, Narriet S. Tuolee; Helen Clarke, Record Analyst, Marriage Section; Victoria Kanneh, Assistant Counselor; Vera C. Killix, Cashier; Rose Donzo, Secretary; Princess Armah; Josephine Maximore; Juilet Kair; Siatta Fahnbulleh, and others comprised the CNDRA marching team, along with Tina Norris, Marriage Registrar; Tupee Vah, Technical Assistant; Massa Kpaka, Research Supervisor; Waniel T. Williams, Verification Officer; and Vivian Wesseh, Deputy Marriage Registrar.

As guardians of the nation’s memory, their presence reaffirms their commitment to Liberia’s anti-drug strategy.

As the peaceful campaign ended, staff from the Center for National Documents and Records Agency admonished Liberians that battling drugs is about creating a better future for the next generation.

Archivists returned to their various offices wet, cold, exhausted, inspired, and more devoted than ever to preserving a better future for Liberian youth.
