TEF Calls For Application For 2018 Circle

Yesterday, January 19, 2018 the United Bank for Africa or UBA Liberia joined other other countries to officially launched the Tony Elumelu Foundation (TEF) 2018 Application Drive in 22 countries.

During the launch in Liberia at a well-attended press Conference held at the headquarters of the UBA, the bank’s Marketing and Corporate Communications Manager Melody Mezay Ketter and Chisol Anthony the lead Alumni of the Foundation and a 2015 beneficiary spoke highly the importance of this exercise.

Mrs. Ketter called on the Liberian media to help in promoting the good services of Mr. Tony Elumelu through his foundation, noting, “The TEF believe the private sector holds the key to unlocking Africa’s economic potential. To that end, with the mission is to catalyze economic and social development in Africa through entrepreneurship.”

TEF CEO Parminder Vir lead simulcast presenter from TEF headquarter in Lagos Nigeria, called on Entrepreneur from the African Countries to take advantage of the opportunity.

The 10-year, $100 million commitment to find, train, mentor and fund 10,000 African entrepreneurs by 2024; the TEF Entrepreneurship Programme Launched in 2015, the Entrepreneurship Programme is the largest African-funded initiative devoted to entrepreneurship.

The vision of TEF is to establish the preeminent Pan-African entrepreneurship programme, designed to equip entrepreneurs with the skills needed to build strong and sustainable businesses, while its mission is identify, grow and create 10,000 startups across Africa that have developed ingenious solutions to pressing economic challenges in their communities and countries; to improve lives, generate employment, and create prosperity and wealth.

According to TEF, its goal is to To create 1,000,000 new jobs and contribute $10 billion in additional revenues across Africa within the 10- year commitment.
