UBA Foundation ‘Each One Teach One’ Initiative Launched At SOS Children’s Village, Presents Books

The United Bank for Africa (UBA) Foundation with its slogan, ‘Each One Teach One’ today, November 23, 2018 visited the SOS Children’s village to identify with students and school authority.

UBA Foundation is the Corporate Social Responsibility arm of UBA, it is the CSR arm of the UBA which currently implementing Each One, Teach One Initiative for youths in Africa.

The purpose of the Each One Teach One initiative is to create opportunities where members of UBA staff voluntarily commit their time to their communities, teaching youths various activities that will give them a head start in life.

This event is held simultaneously across all UBA Subsidiaries in Africa with the intend of making a huge social impact on Youth on the Continent, and serves as the UBA Community Service Day, Group worldwide.

UBA Liberia staff members committed to contribute to the community today through charity by teaching Entrepreneurial Skills, Managing and Saving Money, Teen age Pregnancy Prevention and donation of books.

UBA Foundation through her four major areas of focus – Education, Environment, Economic Empowerment & Special Projects, has and will continue to positively impact the lives of African youths.

The Chief Executive Officer of UBA, Olalekan Balogun who was at the program with some staffs of the Bank, praised the administration of the institution for their professional stance in molding the minds of Liberia’s future leaders.

Earlier, the Head, Marketing and Corporate Communication, Mrs. Melody Mesay-Ketter gave the over view of the UBA Foundation, disclosing that the Foundation over the years have been impacting lives positively in Liberia and across the African continent for several decades, and noted that this is another opportunity to make a difference in the lives of millions of Africans..

The SOS Children’s Village students in their number were also excited to receive the UBA Foundation staff as members of the Foundation from UBA interacted with the students.

For his part the head of SOS Children’s Village Liberia, Mr. Augustine Allieu who appeared overjoyed expressed thanks and appreciation to UBA Foundation for this initiative by providing cartons of books for the students.
