U.S. Based Gbarpolu Citizen Calls For Creation Of Another County
A Prominent Son Yankayan Clan in Gbarpolu County Residing in the Americas Mr. Arthur G. Gballey is proposing to sponsor a bill, to create wants another county created out of Gbarpolu County.
He said his legal team is working out all modalities to work out all the legal arrangement along with other citizens of the finalized these initiatives.
Gbarpolu County is the youngest county in Liberia which was created in 2001 when it was split from Lofa County
Some citizens hailing from Gbarpolu County have joined Mr. Arthur G. Gballey wish to divide the county adding that the separation is necessary in order to bring more developments to that part of the county that has been marginalized.
He also used the occasion to frowned on what he called the continual marginalization of his kinsmen in Gbarma Statutory District in Gbarpolu County.
He said those predominantly Gola speaking People in the County are the direct victims’ of the marginalization.
Speaking in an interview with Reporters via mobile Phone from the USA, Mr. Gballey used the occasion to call from the creation a new County for to give equal opportunity to every citizen in the county
Mr. Gballey said when created it will bring about economic and social De4vcelopment to Citizens of the part of the County adding that from the Gola Konnerh belt covering Weasua it will provide direct benefit from resources thereby enhancing economic growth for the people.
According to him, his own assessment the boundary connecting Grand Cape Mounty to the present boundary with Bomi and Gbarpolu Counties will be determined by the Liberian National Legislature
