LIBERIA: TU Rubbishes FPA Allegation That The University is Not Adhering To Gov’t Tuition Waiver Policy

The Administration of the Second State own University, the Williams V.S Tubman University (TU) says it learnt of Misinformation published on the 11 of August 2021 edition of Front Page Africa Newspaper alleging that the University  is not adhering to the Liberian Government tuition waiver policy.

In a statement issued this week, the TU Administration described the FPA publication as misleading, adding the University has abide by the policy of the government, and further wishes to inform the public that Registration and Other non-tuition fees have remained constant since the creation of the University .

The statement said the Tubman University has always been and will continue to be a law abiding institution, an further noted that the institution is guided by the law and policy of the Republic of Liberia, including the government’s tuition waiver.

The statement said this policy has been implemented since the 2018 pronouncement. Registration and other non-tuition fees have remained constant since the creation of the University has not added a penny. The statement added.
