This initiative successfully brought home celebrated stars like Frank Attus, Beatrice Mulbah, Josephus Tolbert, and Abdul Jalloh, laying the groundwork for a revived domestic film industry. Simultaneously, Afripan transformed the urban retail landscape by constructing Liberia’s very first multi-story commercial stores, introducing a groundbreaking architectural and economic model to the capital.
Afripan’s commitment to the people of Liberia has always extended far beyond commerce. Recognizing the post-war vulnerability of the nation’s youth to substance abuse, the company established the Majalo Rehabilitation Center. Funded entirely through Afripan’s internal resources, the center successfully rescues, rehabilitates, and mentors 50 young men and women every month, equipping them with the tools to thrive. During the national disarmament period, Afripan also actively partnered in reintegration efforts, providing critical vocational training to former combatants. To create further sustainable livelihoods, the group opened Flourish Beauty Salon, Liberia’s first formal cosmetology school, which has proudly trained and graduated more than 100 young professionals.
