Terrible Motor Accident Leaves Three dead, While Infant on Critical List in Waka Town, Grand Bassa County

As the government of Liberia struggles to connect the fifteen counties through pave roads, citizens in rural parts of Liberia faced challenges to access the urban areas on a daily basis, going through accidents, breakdowns, sleepless nights along the roads when traveling.

This was observed Sunday, August 15, 2020 when a tragic motorcar accident occurred in Waka Town, Grand Bass County that led to the death of three persons including an infant to be on critical list due to what is believed to be caused by a deplorable road condition that led to a white 2020 Hilux pickup truck that drifted off the road.
According to reports, the Development Team headed by District # 2 Rep. J. Fonati Koffa, Schools’ projects along with the LACE Team visited the Grand Kru County to dedicate President George Weahβs housing project.
Meanwhile, Liberia Agency for Community Empowerment Chief Engineer, Emmanuel Kollie, is in good health.
The projects aimed at providing shelter for the less fortunate residents of Sasstown is now at the final stage, some fifty (50) units were recently dedicated from the project including two of Hon. J. Fonati Koffaβs school project to be completed.
The project strategically located in the Jrao Statutory District contains two bedrooms, living room, bathroom, kitchen and two porches.
LACE Engineers marked broken down thatched houses to be replaced for beneficiary of Sasstown, Grand Kru County to be named Presidential Pro Poor Housing Units.
The Building Construction Company (BCC) was contracted to build 170 housing units in six of the nine towns in Sassy own while Mobel is to construct 33 housing units in the six different towns.
