‘Teary Night’ In Nigeria In Semah-Flavour First Public Stage Performance
(Enugu, April 1, 2018:) Liberia’s Semah G. Weefur and Nigeria’s musical icon Flavour N’bania on Saturday night thrilled thousands of fans in Enugu when they took the stage live in concert. It was their first live public performance for the first time since their collaboration started few months ago.
A Liberian Embassy release from Enugu, Southeastern Nigeria says several top-notch Nigerian artists including Tecno, Phyno, Zoro, among others, entertained the fans on the night but it was little Semah’s inspirational appearance that heightened the emotions amongst the thousands of people that showed up for the much publicized Easter Holiday Concert. It was held at the Michael Okpara Square late Saturday night through early Sunday morning hours, March 31 to April 1, 2018.
Presenting Semah to his Nigerian audience, Flavour stated, “Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you [Semah of Liberia].”
In response, an eloquent, inspirational Semah said, “I am happy to be in Enugu State with my dad Mr Flavour N’bania. I want to join my dad to say a very big thank you to the organizers and the planners of this unique concert and to those who have travelled from around to world to participate in this unique concert.”
But Semah brought out more tears when he relived the actualization of his dream: “To my dad, I want to say, ‘thank you, thank you, thank you.’ You made me realize my dream.”
Hugging the Nigerian musical icon, Semah added, “My Nigerian people, this is your son who I love as my dad. And a big kiss from your forehead. We love you all”.
According to the release, Semah earlier recognized the role of his management, “especially Mother Queen Juli Endee”, Liberia’s Cultural Ambassador whose connection of Semah to Flavour remains highly noticed.
Before his joint performance with Flavour on some of their songs, the visually impaired Liberian kid-star added, “I want to recognize the Governor and the people of Enugu State, yea Nigeria. My name is Semah G Weefur from the CAB National Resource Institute”.
Semah also used the event to give a special birthday threat to his mother, Mrs. Christina Akele Weefur whose birthday dawned on her during the early morning hours of the concert Sunday April 1, 2018.
Since their ‘divine meeting’ in March of last year, Flavour and Semah have gone on to produce and release five songs, including the popular ‘Most High’. Recently, the pair added ‘All We Need’, ‘No One Like You’, ‘All Power And Glory’ and ‘Unchangeable’.
