Storm Destroys Several Houses In Grand Cavalla, Dozens Made Homeless

Dozens of residents in Grand Cavalla, Harper District #1, Maryland County on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at 5am were made homeless after a heavy storm swept the area, damaging several houses including a school building, this has  compelled the victims to sleep outdoor.

According to GNN Correspondent in the County, the victims in their number are appealing to Local and National Government to come to their rescue in the renovation of their damaged structures.

Speaking to reporters, in the County, the Clan Chief of Grand Cavalla Mr. Wah K. Neufville stressed that if nothing is done to rescue the victims of the town from this e current situation more houses will be affected in the near future as the raining season is drawing closer.

“This is the first of its kind to experience such a terrible situation, which have destroyed several houses in the area. I am appealing to the County Superintendent, our lawmakers, and the Liberian leader to come to the aid of our people who have been affected of this ugly situation,” Mr. Neufville told our Correspondent in the County.
