Mr. Hassan Bility is the Executive Director of the Global Justice Research Project (GJRP) located in Monrovia, Liberia. GJRP documents war related crimes in Liberia and seeks justice for victims.
Mr. Bility served as Editor-in-Chief of the Analyst Newspaper under the regime of Charles Taylor, and was arrested and tortured because of his writing. He has testified in several accountability trials against Liberian officials.
Mr. Bility will be honored with this year’s Judith Lee Stronach Award for his phenomenal work advancing human rights in Liberia, at the Center for Justice and Accountability’s 20th Anniversary Gala on March 8th.
