The Speaker of the 55th National Legislature. Cllr. Jonathan Fonati Koffa has rubbished negative report on social media that the newly inaugurated President of Liberia, H.E. Joseph Nyuma Boakai is not well, and that his inaugural address was interrupted due to poor health, the Speaker said the President is well and in good health.
Cllr. Koffa who is also Representative of Grand Kru County District # 2, was speaking to reporters following a closed-door meeting with the President which lasted for an hour, disclosed that the meeting with the President was in the interest of the country and its people.
The Speaker said during the meeting with the President he reaffirmed of having a cordial relationship, and also vowed working with the President to doing the Liberian people’s business in a successful manner.
Speaker Koffa also disclosed that the President discussed with him that during his administration he will address the issue of anti-corruption and to focus on the issue infrastructure, and other meaningful developmental programs for Liberia under the Boakai-led Government.
