Group of Lofa citizens have publicly rejected results of just ended senatorial by-election; demand immediate resignation of NEC Chairperson David-Etta Brown Lansanah over reported vote rigging, but NEC maintains its by-election results

Some Electorates in Lofa County are calling for the immediate and unconditional resignation of National Elections Commission Chairperson Davidatta Brown Lansanah and the local magistrates of Lower Lofa, for alleged votes rigging and electoral frauds.

The voters have also rejected official results released by the National Elections Commission which declared Independent Candidate Joseph Kpator Jallah winner of the Lofa County Senatorial By-election.

In a telephone interview with OK FM on Sunday, the group spokesperson Samuel Johnson said the declaration of Candidate Jallah, who was supported by the ruling CDC Government is nothing but Vote rigging and broad day stealing of the majority votes in favor of Unity Party’s candidate Galakpai Kortimai.

Amid their concerns, the National Elections Commission has maintained the results released from the just ended Lofa Senatorial By-election which declared Independent Candidate Joseph Jallah as winner.
