For the first time since the brutal murder of her husband in the hands of General Prince Y. Johnson of the defunct Independent National Patriotic Front of Liberia (INPFL) during the Liberian civil war, Nancy B. Doe has accused the governments of Ex-President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf and current President George Manneh Weah of denying her access to finances and properties of her late husband, Samuel Kenyan Doe.
Appearing on the Ok Morning Show on Tuesday, August 4, 2020, Madam Doe said despite of attempts made by her legal team to retrieve properties and finances of her late husband over the years has failed, noting that she felt happy went it was disclosed that President Weah who she noted was admired by her late husband as a result of his football talent refused to see reasons in helping her to get her late husband’s properties and finances.
Speaking further, the former First Lady also claimed President Weah was considered by her late husband as his son and was also admired whenever football games were being played where George Weah and James Debbah were featured, he was proud of their football careers, and always wanted to have them by his side, but wondered why President Weah has deliberately paying a deaf ear and blamed eyes to her problem.
Prior to the death of her husband, who was brutally killed in the 1990s by the INPFL countless properties that were secured with his hard earned money are yet to be handover to her, a situation she said has made her to wonder as to why such treatment is being melted against her.
Callers who called on the OK FM expressed pity the current condition of the former Liberian First Lady, describing the alleged action on the part of both former and current Liberian government as inhumane, calling on President Weah to quickly intervene.
