The Vice Presidents of Liberia and Sierra Leone have held talks on bilateral relations and international matters with the view to strengthening relations and forging common purpose in matters of interest to their respective governments.
The talks, according a release from the office of the Vice President, also covered the Mano River Union, Economic Community of West African States, African Union and the United Nations, as envisaged by their respective Presidents.
Liberia’s Vice President, Chief Jewel Howard-Taylor and her Sierra Leonean counterpart Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh, who was transiting at the Roberts International Airport in Liberia en route to the United States, exchanged views in the VIP Lounge at the airport on Thursday.
The discussions took place in an atmosphere of cordiality and also covered matters of peace, security, good governance, and economic development between the neighboring countries.
According to the release, the Sierra Leonean VP was on his way to the United States to attend a crucial meeting on behalf of President Julius Maada Bio.
