Senator Prince Johnson Craves For The Establishment Of Commission On Inquiry To Investigate Mysterious Deaths
Senator Prince Johnson is recommending to the incoming Unity Party Administration to establish the Commission of Inquiry aimed at investigating some mysterious death cases during the Weah-Taylor regime.
The Nimba County Senator has been very bitter at President George Manneh prior, during and since the conduct of the October 10, 2023 presidential and legislative elections and subsequently the November 14, 2023 presidential runoff election across the country.
The political bitterness between the outgoing Liberian leader and Senator Johnson ensued at the time the lawmaker demanded US$7.5 million the Coalition for Democratic Change owed his county, Nimba, adding that the money was given by concession companies operating in the area.
Despite the defeat of the outgoing president, Senator Johnson remains resolute in demanding justice for those he believed were mysteriously murdered under the CDC regime.
“I am proposing the setting up of a special body known as the Commission on Inquiry by the Boakai-Koung Administration upon taking over in early 2024’’ he disclosed.
According to him, the Commission when established will not only look into the deaths of those Liberians but it will also investigate the missing million during the Weah-Taylor government.
Senator Johnson maintained that he will ensure President Weah and his confidants – Minister Samuel Tweah, former Minister of State, Nathaniel McGill and former Managing Director of the National Port Authority, Bill Twehway among several others account for their alleged actions
